Jose's Rice Pudding

- 1-1/2 quarts water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup white rice
- 3 cups milk, or skim milk
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Put water and cinnamon sticks into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir in rice and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the rice is soft. Add milk, sugar, and salt. Cook on low heat until thickened, about 15 minutes.
