Apple and Cheese Dessert Casserole
Prep: 15 min, Cook: 40 min.
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 7 medium tart apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbs. water
  • 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese

Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. In a separate bowl, combine apples, water, and lemon juice and then transfer onto a well-greased 8 inch baking dish. Top with flour mixture. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes. Top with cheese. Bake for 5 additional minutes.
