Hardtack Biscuits
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 40 min.
  • 2 cups stone ground flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, optional

Knead ingredients until smooth. Roll the dough flat until about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into rounded biscuits about 3 inch in diameter. Poke holes in each biscuit with fork. Place on floured cookie sheet and bake at 400°F for about 40 minutes.
