Combine margarine and chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Whisk occasionally until melted and smooth. Remove from heat. In a mixing bowl, beat sugar and eggs. Add melted chocolate mix, vanilla, flour, salt, and baking powder. Blend and fold in chopped nuts. Bake in a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan and cut into squares. Freezes well. This recipe serves 12 people. Due to the nature of this recipe, it adjusts the number of servings in multiples of 12 only.
