Work tomatoes, apples, and onions through a food grinder or food mill. Transfer to a large strainer and drain off about 1 cup liquid. Discard the liquid. Combine remaining ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a vigorous boil. Remove from heat and add the tomato-apple-onion mixture. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon into sterilized jars and seal for later use. Serving size is about 2 ounces. This recipe serves 30 people. Due to the nature of this recipe, it adjusts the number of servings in multiples of 30 only.
