Indian Sweet Cheese Balls
Prep: 15 min, Marinate: 12:00, Cook: 10 min.
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup dry milk powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
  • vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • sugar

Combine first 3 ingredients. Knead until smooth, then shape into small balls (about 3/4 inch wide). Heat oil and add cheese balls. Cook for a few minutes, or until browned. Drain on paper towels. Add water and sugar to a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Add cheese balls, cover, and refrigerate for 24 hours. Remove cheese balls, drain, and serve.
