Savory Strawberries on Lime Ice

Basil complements the sweet strawberries in this light and refreshing combination.

Prep: 10 min, Marinate: 1:00, plus freezing time.
  • 4 cups Driscoll's strawberries, halved
  • 1/2 cup fruity white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp. grated lime peel
  • 4 cups lemon lime soda pop
  • 1 tsp. grated lime peel

Combine wine, basil and lime peel; mix well. Pour over strawberries and marinate 1 to 2 hours. Spoon over Lime Ice.

To make Lime Ice: Combine lemon-lime soda and grated lime peel. Pour into 8x8 inch pan and freeze 6 hours or overnight. Remove from pan and process in food processor or blender until smooth. Pour into pan and re-freeze at least 4 hours.

Makes 4 cups.
