Strawberries in Balsamic Red Wine Sauce

The intense flavors of the wine and vinegar are a perfect complement to the sweet themes. And the warmth of the sauce brings out the distinctive Driscoll's taste.

Prep: 5 min, Cook: 10 min.
  • 2 Tbs. seedless red raspberry jam
  • 1 Tbs. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbs. dry red wine
  • 1 lb. Driscoll's strawberries, rinsed, hulled and quartered
  • 1/4 cup whipped heavy cream (optional)

In a small saucepan combine jam, vinegar and wine. Cook and stir over medium heat until smooth and blended then simmer until syrupy and reduced by half. Place berries in serving bowl and pour wine mixture over. Gently toss to coat completely. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
