Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine first 4 ingredients in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer. Add remaining ingredients and salt to taste. Mix thoroughly. Transfer mixture to a lightly buttered covered 2 quart casserole dish. Cover and bake 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake 10 minutes longer until top is crispy. Serve hot or at room temperature. This recipe serves 8 people. Due to the nature of this recipe, it adjusts the number of servings in multiples of 8 only.
