Fry Bread
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 10 min, plus rising time.
  • 4 Texas wheat rolls
  • 2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. powdered sugar

Place rolls 1-1/2 inches inches apart on a cookie sheet that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray. Spray one side of a sheet of plastic wrap and cover rolls. Let rise 1-1/2 to 2 hours, or until doubled in size. Stretch each roll to 5 inches before frying. Heat oil in a frying pan to 375°F. Fry rolls in hot oil 2-3 minutes per side, or until light brown. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
