Butterflake Rolls
Prep: 15 min, Cook: 15 min, plus rising time.
  • 6 fat free white rolls, thawed but still cold
  • 2 Tbs. unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbs. all purpose flour, optional

Place a roll in your hand. With scissors, snip roll into 5 or 6 slices, cutting nearly to the bottom. Spread butter into each slice and dust with flour, if desired. Place roll in a muffin tin cup coated with nonstick cooking spray. Repeat with remaining rolls. Cover with plastic wrap that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray. Let rise 1-1/2 to 2 hours, or until doubled in size. Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove plastic wrap from rolls and bake 15-20 minutes. Immediately place rolls on a cooling rack.
