Cheese Straws
Prep: 15 min, Cook: 15 min, plus rising time.
  • 1/2 lb. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 Tbs. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 loaf white bread, slightly thawed
  • 2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted

Combine first 3 ingredients in a shallow baking pan and set aside. Cut loaf of bread dough in half lengthwise and widthwise. Cut each section into 8 thin pieces, ending up with 32 pieces. Roll each piece to 15 inch lengths. Brush with butter and then roll in cheese mixture. Place on a large cookie sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray. Let rise 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
