Beer Marinade

A wealth of complex flavors, from spicy Chipotle to sweet brown sugar, meld exquisitely for a marinade that's perfect with any cut of meat.

Prep: 5 min, Marinate: 24:00, plus refrigeration time.
  • 1-1/2 cups beer, or honey brown ale
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 juice from limes
  • 1/2 medium red onion, minced
  • 6 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbs. whole grain mustard
  • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbs. fresh ginger, peeled and minced
  • 2 tsp. Tabasco sauce

Whisk beer, sugar, lime juice, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, oil, ginger and hot pepper sauce in large bowl to blend. Pour marinade over steaks in baking dish. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
