Sister Jackie's Bourbon BBQ Sauce
A simple blend of ingredients that result in a wonderfully sweet, mouthwateringly smoky BBQ sauce. Adds authentic southern flavor to any cut of meat.

- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup light molasses, mild flavored
- 2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. bourbon
- 2 Tbs. Dijon mustard
- 1-1/2 Tbs. hot pepper sauce
- 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. Spanish onions, finely diced

Combine all ingredients in heavy large saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to simmer and cook uncovered until sauce thickens and flavors blend, stirring frequently, about 1 hour.
Can be made 1 week ahead. Cover; chill.
