Korean Sesame Bison Sirloin Steak
Prep: 5 min, Marinate: 3:00, Cook: 5 min.
  • 2 Tbs. all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 Tbs. sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 scallion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbs. soy sauce
  • 3/4 lb. top sirloin bison steak, 1 inch thick, thinly sliced across the grain
  • 1/2 cup peanut oil, for frying

Combine all ingredients, except bison and oil, in a nonreactive dish. Stir in bison, cover and marinate in refrigerator 3 hours or overnight. Remove bison and discard marinade. Deep fry bison 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
