Easy Candied Yams
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 35 min.
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs. all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. unsalted butter, cut in pieces
  • 11 ounces canned yams, drained and chopped
  • 5 ounces can sliced peaches in natural juice, drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside. Arrange yams and peaches in a buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle with crumb mixture. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with marshmallows. Return to oven 3-5 minutes, or until marshmallows are melted.
