Opening-Day Trout
Prep: 5 min, Cook: 5 min.
  • 1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. unsalted butter
  • 4 slices onion
  • 1 lemon slice
  • 4 whole trout, dressed, head and tail removed and filleted if desired
  • toothpick

Preheat oven to 375°F. Place butter, onion, lemon and black pepper to taste in inner cavity of trout and secure with a toothpick. Arrange in a baking dish and bake 15-20 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
