Pork Steaks with Green Beans
Prep: 5 min, Marinate: 2:00, Cook: 25 min.
  • 2 pork blade steaks, cut 1 inch thick
  • 2 small cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 Tbs. onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbs. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbs. honey
  • 9 ounces frozen French cut green beans, thawed

Place steaks in a shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients, except beans, in a bowl and mix well. Pour marinade over pork steaks. Cover tightly and marinate in refrigerator 2 hours, turning once.

Prepare broiler. Drain pork steaks, reserving marinade. Place steaks on a rack in a broiler pan. Broil about 4 inches from heat source 7-8 minutes per side. Pour marinade into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover tightly and simmer 5 minutes. Add green beans, cover and cook 5-8 minutes, or until beans are tender. Serve green beans with broiled steaks.
