Ginger Coffee

- 1/2 cup ground coffee, heaping
- 2 tsp. ground cardamom
- 3 Tbs. fresh ginger, minced
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbs. sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream, cold
- 1 ounce fine dark chocolate, grated
Combine coffee, 1-1/2 tsp.cardamom and ginger. Brew with cold water using desired method. Combine milk and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until hot. Whip cream with remaining cardamom to soft peaks. Serve coffee with hot milk. Pour into demitasse cups. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
