Sautéed Green Beans
Prep: 5 min, Cook: 15 min.
  • 1 Tbs. unsalted butter
  • 1 lb. green beans, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt (optional), or to taste

Melt half the butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Sauté green beans 2-3 minutes until lightly browned. Add water, salt, and pepper to taste. Cover skillet, reduce heat to medium and cook green beans 8-10 minutes, or until tender. Drain excess water. Stir in remaining butter before serving.
