Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine butter, brown sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until dough becomes too stiff to beat. Knead by hand until all the flour is incorporated. Press dough into the bottom of an 8 inch cake pan. Pierce dough all over with a fork. This recipe serves 8 people. Due to the nature of this recipe, it adjusts the number of servings in multiples of 8 only.
