Cherries Jubilee
Prep: 5 min, Cook: 10 min.
  • 14 ounces can stoneless black cherries
  • 1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. strawberry jam
  • 1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 orange, juice reserved and rind finely grated
  • 2 tsp. arrowroot
  • 2 tsp. water

Place cherries and juice in a saucepan. Add jam, lemon juice, cinnamon, orange rind, and juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Blend arrowroot and water, mix into cherries. Stir until clear, remove from heat, and allow to cool to room temperature. Serve with cream or ice cream or cream, or with crepes, waffles, cheesecakes, etc.
