Heat oil in a large frying pan; brown pork on both sides for 2 minutes each. Remove. Add garlic and onion to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Add peppers and zucchini. Cook an additional 2 minutes, stirring. Stir in tomatoes, purée, sugar, and basil. Season with salt and black pepper. Return pork to the pan and cover. Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve with pasta and French bread
