Tapenade Toasts
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 5 min.
- 8 thin slices French bread, cut on bias
- 3-1/2 Tbs. olive oil, plus extra
- 3-1/2 Tbs. tapenade or black olive paste
- 1/3 cup red or orange bell pepper, seeded and cut into tiny dice
- 1/4 tsp. chili pepper flakes, crushed
Prepare grill or turn on broiler. Brush olive oil over both sides of bread slices. Grill or broil about 1 minute per side until crisp and golden. Spread tapenade over one side of each slice. Sprinkle with diced pepper. Drizzle with additional olive oil and season with dried chilies to taste.
