Family Size Tuna Melt
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 15 min.
  • 2 cups buttermilk baking mix, plus additional
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise type salad dressing
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 13 ounces canned tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbs. sweet relish
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Preheat oven to 450°F. Combine baking mix, 1/3 cup mayonnaise and milk in a bowl. Mix until a soft dough forms. Beat vigorously 30 seconds. Turn onto a work surface floured with additional baking mix. Knead 10 times. Pat into a 12x8 inch rectangle on a greased cookie sheet. Bake about 8 minutes, until light brown. Mix remaining 1/3 cup mayonnaise with tuna, celery and relish. Spread over hot rectangle. Top with cheese and tomato slices. Bake about 5 minutes, until filling is hot and cheese is melted.
