Baked Brie in Pastry
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 30 min.
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, 5x5 inch, thawed
  • 1 wheel Brie cheese, about 7 ounces each
  • 1/4 lb. packaged garlic and herb cheese spread
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 Tbs. water

Preheat oven to 375°F. Place puff pastry on a lightly floured cookie sheet. Roll gently to remove fold lines. Place Brie cheese in center of pastry. Spread half the cheese spread over Brie. Turn and spread remaining cheese spread on other side of Brie wheel. Wrap pastry around and over the sides and top of the Brie wheel. Trim excess pastry. Turn over and place seamed side down. (Gather pastry scraps, reroll and cut decorations to place on pastry, if desired.) Combine egg and water in a small bowl. Brush over and around pastry. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
