Hot Mexican Chocolate

- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 Tbs. all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups milk
- 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Combine first 7 ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until mixed thoroughly. Bring to a simmer. Slowly whisk in cream. Add milk, whisking constantly. Add vanilla and stir constantly until hot. Do not boil. Cook just under a simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
