Southern Milk and Molasses
Prep: 5 min, plus chilling time.
- 3/4 cup unsulphured molasses
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 4 cups milk, cold
- 2 cups light cream, cold
- 1/2 tsp. rum extract, or 1 cup light rum
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. Mix thoroughly and chill, covered, about 1 hour before serving.
