Southern Milk and Molasses
Prep: 5 min, plus chilling time.
  • 3/4 cup unsulphured molasses
  • 2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 4 cups milk, cold
  • 2 cups light cream, cold
  • 1/2 tsp. rum extract, or 1 cup light rum

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. Mix thoroughly and chill, covered, about 1 hour before serving.
