Quick Barbecued Beef Sandwiches
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 20 min.
  • 1 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1-3/4 lbs. can condensed tomato soup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbs. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbs. vinegar
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-1/2 lbs. cooked roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 12 hamburger rolls, or round sandwich buns, split and toasted

Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook onion 4-5 minutes, or until tender. Add soup and next 4 ingredients. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook 5 minutes. Add beef and heat through. Divide meat mixture among 12 roll halves. Top with remaining roll halves.

This recipe serves 12 people. Due to the nature of this recipe, it adjusts the number of servings in multiples of 12 only.



VARIATION: Substitute 1-1/2 lbs. thinly sliced cooked turkey for beef.
