Mocha Liqueur Sauce
Prep: 15 min, Cook: 10 min.
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. superfine sugar
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla essence
- 2/3 cup plus 3 Tbs. thickened cream
- 3/4 tsp. dry instant coffee
- 2-3/4 Tbs. hot water
- 2-3/4 tsp. chocolate topping
- 2-3/4 tsp. coffee flavored liqueur
Combine first 3 ingredients in top of a double saucepan (or in heatproof bowl). Beat with an electric mixer until thick and creamy. Bring cream to a boil in a medium saucepan and stir into egg mixture. Stir over simmering water until mixture coats the back of a spoon. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl and stir into cream mixture. Serve warm.
