Rusty's Foolproof Oven Rice
Prep: 5 min, Cook: 40 min.
  • 2-2/3 cups water
  • 1-1/3 cups long grain white rice
  • 2 tsp. unsalted butter

Bring water to a boil. Preheat oven to 375°F. Meanwhile, rinse rice numerous times and strain. Place rice in a large ovenproof pan or dish which can be covered tightly with a lid or aluminum foil. Add butter and salt to taste. Place the pan with the rice on the oven shelf (to avoid hot water spills). Stir in the boiling water. Cover and bake 35 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
