Very Berry Cranberry Sauce
Prep: 5 min, Cook: 15 min, plus chilling time.
- 1/2 lb. fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained
- 7 ounces fresh strawberries
- 2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. sugar
- 1-3/4 Tbs. Grand Marnier or orange juice
- 2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. orange juice
- 1-3/4 Tbs. water
- 2 tsp. orange peel, grated
- 1/4 cup walnut pieces
Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally to crush berries. Remove from heat. Let cool briefly. Cover and chill. Stir in walnut pieces before serving.
