Microwave Hot Caramel Apples
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 10 min.
  • 1/2 cup walnut halves
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, cored

Spread nuts on a plate and microwave uncovered 3 minutes on high, or until toasted. When cooled, finely chop and set aside. Combine next 3 ingredients in a microwave safe dish large enough to hold the apples without touching. Microwave uncovered 3 minutes on high, or until bubbly. Stir to mix thoroughly. Arrange apples in dish and stuff centers with walnuts. Spoon a bit of the sugar mixture over each apple. Cover and microwave 5 minutes on high or until apples are tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving with sauce poured over apples.
