Waffle Iron Quick Waffles
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 10 min.
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1-1/4 cups milk
  • 2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Preheat waffle iron. Whisk together eggs, milk, butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl. Combine remaining ingredients in another bowl. Add flour mixture to egg mixture and blend slightly to combine. Let batter rest a minute before pouring into iron. Pour batter into iron, in batches, without overfilling. Follow manufacturer's directions for cooking times.
