Grilled Steaks with Jalapeño Cucumber Relish
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 10 min.
  • 3 cups cucumber, seeded and diced
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbs. red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. jalapeño pepper, or to taste (wear rubber gloves)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp. garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 4 top sirloin steaks, at room temperature

Prepare grill or broiler. Combine first 6 ingredients and salt to taste in a bowl and set aside. Generously season steaks with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Grill or broil steaks 4-5 minutes per side about 5 inches from heat source, or until desired doneness. Serve steaks with relish.
