Confectioner's Sugar (Powdered Sugar)

Confectioner's sugar is granulated sugar pulverized into a fine powder. It may contain a small amount of cornstarch to prevent clumping, and is typically used to make icings or is sprinkled on top of a dish. Confectioner's sugar in the U.S is the same as powdered sugar or icing sugar in the U.K. In France, it is known as sucre glace.
