Peppercorn

Green peppercorn is an unripe berry from the pepper plant, usually pickled in vinegar and used to give a pungent flavor to meats and sauces.

Black peppercorn and white peppercorn come from the same plant. Green peppercorns turn to black after they have been dried. White peppercorns come from peppercorns that have been ripened, hulled, and processed.
