Testing Bread for Doneness About 10 minutes before your loaf of bread is done baking, remove it from the pan and let it finish baking by placing it directly on the oven rack. You'll be able to test it for doneness more easily by checking out the bottom. This also helps the loaf cook more thoroughly and evenly. |
