Sukiyaki

Sukiyaki is a Japanese dish consisting of sliced meat (typically steak), bean curd, and vegetables, which are seasoned and fried. The meat is cooked initially with hot oil and then basted with sukiyaki sauce, which is made of sugar, sake, mirin, and soy sauce. Vegetables commonly used include celery, bean sprouts, leeks, onions, mushrooms, chinese cabbage, carrots, spinach, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, and bean curds.
