Reviving Old Popcorn Kernels Old popcorn kernels, or popcorn kernels stored in an open container, may lose its ability to pop. Popping requires the presence of adequate moisture. To revive dried-out popcorn kernels, add a tablespoon of water to a one-quart jar of kernels and shake. Store the jar in the fridge and wait until all the water is absorbed. Then try popping the kernels again. |
