Maximum Freezing Times

Here are some common foods and the maximum suggested time they will keep in the freezer:

Angel and sponge cake, 4 to 6 months Bacon and sausage, uncooked, 1 to 2 months Butter/margarine, 9 months Casseroles, 1 to 2 months Cooked meat, 2 months Cookies, baked, 4 to 6 months Doughnuts, 3 months Fruit pie, 1 year Fruit, about 8 to 12 months Ham slices (fully cooked), 1 to 2 months Hard cheese, grated 6-12 months Hot dogs, luncheon meats (unopened), 2 weeks Leftover gravy and meat broth, 2 to 3 months Leftover poultry, 4 to 6 months Muffins, rolls, quick breads, 2 to 4 months Pancakes and waffles, 1 to 2 months Unbaked cookie dough, 6 months Unbaked fruit pies, 8 months Vegetables, 12 months
