Sugar Alternatives

If you're trying to cut back on white sugar, you can use the following alternatives in your cooking

In place of one cup white sugar, use: * 1 1/2 cup barley malt. Reduce the liquid in the recipe by 1-2 Tbs. * 1 cup date sugar. * 1 1/2 cup brown rice syrup. Reduce the liquid in the recipe by 1-2 Tbs. * 1/2 cup honey. Reduce the liquid in the recipe by about 1/2 cup. * 1/2-2/3 cup molasses according to taste. Reduce the liquid in the recipe by about 1/2 cup. * 2 Tbs. stevia * 1 cup sucanat
