Tips for Using Aluminum Foil Use regular-duty aluminum foil for wrapping and covering food. Use heavy-duty aluminum foil for lining grills and baking pans. Avoid aluminum foil when wrapping acidic foods such as tomatoes; the foil will interact chemically with the acid. Also, be careful when using foil in the freezer; it can easily rip or puncture; use plastic freezer bags instead. And do not use aluminum foil in the microwave. |
